Is this a bay (laurel)

    It was left growing in a pot by the people before me. Does it look like a bay? I think it is...

    awesomely fast reply :)

    It even smells like the real thing. Just a bit nervous to *eat* something that I'm not 100% sure about. Kind of a good basic survival trait :)

    Has it lots of fresh growth on it - small buds of tender leaves, in a light green? Looks like a bay to me as well.

    The smell is also distinctive I find, if you break a leaf off and split it.
