    I have no idea about plants.
    Is this a giant weed?
    I don't think it is knotweed cos there are thorns.

    It's a weed if you don't want it there, is that a hedge?

    It will produce edible fruit (blackberries) in the summer so it does have its uses.

    Thank you all for your quick reply. It is a hedge but the other plant is supposed to be the hedge, not the brambles
