I had these (pics below) for a while in my rocket patch. I cant seem to find them any more. kept meaning to post this earlier but was never getting my head around to doing so. Anyways better late than never.

The patch where the rocket is was cleared from weeds and other plants then covered with a layer of compost, bark and grass clipping for mulch and planted in Mid March. A couple of weeks after I noticed these weird things that were growing next to some of the rocket. They were there definitely up to Mid May and now I cannot seem to find them any more. The rocket patch had a very slow start and then beggining of May it started to pick up very quickly. I have done a first picking and today will probably do a second round but some of the plants have started the bolting process already.

    Any ideas what these are?

Its definitely a fungus, but I'd not worry about it, its just living and breaking down the organic matter that you added.

Hey Pete, thanks for the answer.

I have to say that I was worried that they were hindering the growth of the rocket plants cause they had a very slow start, which is not very rocket like. Things went well after about a month and growth peaked up so not sure what might have been the issue and if they affected the plants.

It's more curiosity than anything else at this point really.
