Is this a weed?

    Hello!

    Whenever I do my parents' garden, every few weeks this appears in one of the flower beds which is next to next door's garden (full of weeds) and it grows straight up, reminds me of asparagus..

    anyone know what it is? I'm 99% sure it's a weed. When I pull it out, the root and stem can be quite deep, sometimes 10 inches into the soil.

    Looks a bit Rosebay Willow herby but i;m not quite sure :scratch:

    Don't think it can be a willow herb going by the deep roots, sorry I can't think what it is though.

    It's so annoying how it grows. Next time I do the garden i'll take photos of it actually growing in the beds, as I took the photo about an hour after I pulled it out so it's wilted a bit :biggrin:

    It's growing where Woodruff was once (took forever to kill that too) but I don't see them being connected.

    if thats the stuff with purple flowers which goes fluffy
    i'd say it is and does have deep roots well mine have
