    It's certainly a wilted clematis! http://www.flickr.com/photos/22351913@N07/2593283472/

Plant was fine yesterday. This morning, after a night of some rain and lots of strong winds, half of it was wilted. This evening, it's all gone. Have watered it, but that's made no difference.
Half of it did this last year too. It's Mrs Cholmondely.

With clematis wilt, Daisy. the stems just die. Could be the weather, just keep an eye on it. If the leaves DO start turning brown, then it could be wilt.

Well, it's cut down now :( Last year, the insides of the stems were rotten and black. This year, they all looked healthy, so god knows what was wrong with it. I hope it isn't some problem with the roots.

Any thoughts on what it might have been dai? It was clearly getting no water through at all and just getting more limp by the day-I just didn't know what else to do.
