I found that, a bit hard to digest too, last year. It just doesn't add up somehow.

This year,The UK entry, although the amount of work on the coreography is admirable, but that female "singer" just stands there as a pole most of the time. Slovenia has quite a catching voice, also the German entry is not terrible, although I don't understand half of the words. I find that all in all the videos are too busy and distracting.

Israel have wiped the floor with everyone. They're not even in Europe.

Personally I think modern music is mostly rubbish, combine that with a song contest that is mostly based on a bunch of people voting for their mates, with no bearing on the song, and the whole set up should be laughable.
Trouble is they still keep pushing a 1950s, 60s/70s idea down our throats.

Its out dated, taken over by corruption, and I wish we would stop getting involved in the whole stupid idea.

Java, the reason Bianca, the English girl " just stands there as a pole" is that she has life limiting cysric fibrosis and needs daily treatment.

actually, Dips, I found all in all the quality was better then usual for most songs. Anyway, even if not too professional, it is a bit of fun for a couple of evenings a year, not too hard to withstand.
But definitely, if it is meant for songs in Europe, why are non European songs there?

That was Conchita Wurst and he/she won the contest last year with a brilliant song, not keen on any of the ones that I saw this year, but here is Conchita singing, I love this song.!!
