Hi there, I wondered if people could help me identify this rose.

The stems have a grey luster to them, it has single small pink flowers, a purple young leaf, an arching habit (grows to about 2 metres, then arches to ground). The flowering period is about 6 weeks, late May to early July, with an occasional flower afterwards. Lots of hips!

ahhh - been googling a bit, and I'm fairly sure it's Rosa glauca. Let's hope that I can take some cuttings :)

      thanks for the affirmation, Tor!

I had thought it might be for a while, but the height threw me - this bush is about 3 metres tall, but it is probably about 20 years old, and not been pruned often, being in a rented house's garden. I just love the stems, with their grey "bloom" - which is why we've always referred to it as the "ghost rose".
