We have a lot of Verbena bonariensis all around the garden but I don't remember ever having one this tall. :rolleyespink:

The fence is 6ft high and sits on top of a 12" concrete gravel board. Although I haven't measure it I would guess that the tallest stem is a good 4ft above the top of the fence. So it must be about 11ft high :hate-shocked:

Has anyone else got such a big one?

Here is mine; only about 5' in my Mediterranean style garden which is deliberately kept with the fertility on the low side. Still looks great though!

If only we could have some lovely rain here in Kent, mine might be bigger .....good job I`m happy with small ones really. Actually, even though mine are small they are making babies all over the place. [IMG]

I don't know about the Verbena but the asparagus has gone very droopy . I think it needs some TLC. :blue thumb:

                          Mine's only a small one.

Can't be more than about 5ft, no competition for your big one @shiney

Must admit I haven't watered it much, apart from when it starts to droop.

You can get V bonariensis in different sizes, if you want a small one get Lollipop or Meteor Shower. The old, similar Verbena venosa which I used to grow for Parks bedding seems to have all but disappeared. By the way mine is only 4ft high.
