    Hi
I am new on here so just saying hello.
As I've got older gardening or more importantly allotmenteering has taken over the free time from work. We have an allotment with in walking distance of home, and have just taken over a large area of the back garden with a 14' x 30' polytunnel. This is now an addition to the greenhouse, the smaller potting greenhouse, and leanto with my homemade 2.5mtr long heated propagator for getting things started.
Hope to get some tips and tricks to get life in the big tunnel going!

            Hello Dec and welcome.
I like the term "allotmenteering", do you go in armed with crampons and rope? :heehee:

Hell yeah, when we took on the allotment three years ago there was a scrub patch about 14mtrs x 6mtrs attached to it. This was covered in scrub, an old felled tree, the remains of a chicken run, etc etc. Having asked the owner of the allotment site (it's privately owned) if we could have it... he said 'If you can clear it, you can b***** well have it. So kitted up we finally cleared it, to a condition to allow for softfruit bushes etc. This year with two 10mtr rows of blackcurrants growing happily, we still have loads of space for some more fruit bushes etc.
