Good morning. I'm more of a gardener's assistant than a gardener. My wife is the one with green fingers but, fairly inevitably, I get roped in to assist as required! We have recently moved into a new house with a reasonably blank canvas as far as the garden is concerned, but turf is laid, deep beds are completed and planted up with vegetables, and the list of things "to do" is gradually getting shorter (I hope!). Please don't get too technical with me by using Latin names for plants - I shall only respond by retiring to the garage and getting on with things that really matter in life!

Hello Steven from Cornwall :) From Cornwall too:)
        Welcome to the forum :)
My niece has recently moved into a new build home too....she wants minimalistic and easy (yep, not bothered with Latin names or other tedious technicalities either) and I respect that. Hmmm! Mind you the only real garden work is lawn mowing and I do that!!
        :)

              Welcome to the forum!

People sorta have to use Latin because your local plants may have a different name in other places even though they are the same thing. My latin is limited too but here's the great news, there's usually lots of photos with discussions to help us both get the mist of what is being discussed :)

Enjoy the good people here and make sure to sign in your sense of humour too!
