For adding in a link to my deli in my signature. Most generous minded of you and it isn't even garden related!

You all do a bang up job, and I think I speak for everyone when I say you all make this the best gardening forum site in the world.

Least I could do for you letting me hide in your drive, i'd jumped the red light at the cross roads & there was a copper there. Couldn't outrun them on my little Honda so I pulled into what I think was probably your drive, crouched down & turned the lights off.

They probably thought i'd been taken up:biggrin:

Oh dear  classic mistake: male thinking they can assume a female's mindset :nonofinger:

                I'll rephrase:
"This is the most friendly, informative, community spirited, knowledgable, supportive, genuine, amusing and kind-hearted, whilst very well monitored and protective, gardening forum I've encountered on the internet" :)

(No point telling someone they are the "best", unless you also tell them "why" ;) ) :heehee:

Nice, clean website :blue thumb:. Good luck in your venture. :)

Delis are a lot different nowadays from when I used to work in them in the East End - in the 50's and 60's. Apart from what are thought of, nowadays, as the traditional deli products we used to do things like pickle our own cucumbers in old whisky barrels. I, also, had to take a course on how to debone and slice smoked salmon etc. Very little was pre-packaged and there was none of this wearing of gloves. We just washed our hands frequently. Everything was wrapped in greaseproof paper and put in paper bags. Loaves of bread were just handed to the customer and not wrapped in anything. Nobody seemed to get ill from it! :blue thumb:
