Most things have grown away since planting 6 weeks ago. The tree ferns have sprouted some decent fronds and the first cannas are starting to flower.

Lovely plants and garden - looks just like monkey territory :heehee:. What type of Yucca's are those (assuming they are Yucca) are they hardy?
        Love it!:)

Lovely John. I love the dark leaves of those Cannas. :dbgrtmb:

Other than the Cannas, do the rest overwinter in situ?

        Yep, I like that style.

Will you always keep the DA.s in pots to winter indoors?

        Hey John,

Its all looking beautiful- very shiny and pretty.

        You've done a fantastic job.

And you changed your pic? What happened to the dodgy bloke in the wig?

It's for the weeds to grow, now I've finished planting I need something to do at weekends :loll:

Pixie, they are Cordyline australis (Cabbage palms) - I did have a couple of really big Yuccas in the previous planting scheme, but they were getting too dangerous with my grand-kiddies around so I dug them up.

I've really got to work that out Peter, a couple of the banana types and a Sago Palm will have to come into the greenhouse, I'm hoping that all the others are going to stay in-situ with a generous layer of mulch.

Well I'm hoping that we don't get another really bad winter, I could lift those two smaller tree ferns into my greenhouse if it looks like it will be a repeat of last year, but the big 7 footer will have to take it's chances outside. I am going to wrap it up though.

Thanks Melinda, it's big and bold and although it just looks like I've plonked evrything in without worrying about the brash colours I did spend a couple of weeks shifting the main plants around before finally planting up.

The wig had to go, I think I was scaring off some of the newbies on here :)

I hope to do something like that but on a smaller scale.

harry, they are canna tropicanna from Homepage, I bought them for the leaf colour really. There are 3 different vars , gold, orange and black.
