    Hi all,

This weekend my wife and I took a long weekend break on the outskirts of London and went to Kew Gardens. It was my first visit to the park, even though I have wanted to go for ages. There is plenty to see and we never got around to see it all, so I expect we'll be back again at some point. Anyway, here are a few photos from the day, and I can thoroughly recommend this fantastic garden to anyone considering visiting it.

    Cheers,

    Matthew

        Nice one HA,

Went there many years ago on one of the hottest days of the year, the heat in the Palm House was incredible but it was one of the few places in London where the air didn't make your eyeballs bleed from the polution.

It's a great place to visit and very difficult to see everything in one go.

Did you go for the tree top walk? You can nearly touch the jumbos coming in to land at Heathrow :heehee:

Going slightly off topic here. When my Dad finished his national service he and his mates cadged a lift back to Blighty from some RAF boys. They landed in a field with a couple of wooden huts.

My Dad asked where they had landed & was told it was a place called Heathrow.
