Italian Wall Lizards at Abbotsbury Sub Tropical Gardens, there are now many locations around the South of the country where these illegally released lizards can be found.
I know of seven in Dorset. The males are very colourful. wall 3.JPG

Our resident red fox, Rosie, went missing for four or five days then showed up limping badly with an injured right front leg. Our TV weather presenter, who knows a lot about animals, suggested that the only way I could help her was to feed her while she could not hunt. I took the advice and have been giving her a lot more than her usual treat. Last night for instance she had chicken, eggs, hash brown potatoes, cheese, toast, and unsalted peanuts. I must say the trail cam video shows her using all four legs now at times. She still favors the injured paw when she runs so I do not think she can hunt yet, but she is much improved.

Yes, you may, but only if you have an injured leg. :yahoo:

Twisted lurve  I've only ever come across baby snakes before, but this hot weather seems to have prompted a couple of bigger ones to get it (very) together... 20220510_192745.jpg

I've had my left hip replaced three times and my left knee replaced (three times within a year). I am still using a walker/cane. Does this count?

We have had a mating pair here in our bread oven. I had a baby one in my kitchen once. I like snakes.

Are yours Western Whip snakes, @Victoria? They're the most common here, so I'm fervently hoping that they're not vipers! Whatever they are, they're very elegant. A continuous spiral around each other and 'kissy-kissy' at the head ends . Just praying that the cats have the sense to keep their distance!

If it's Brownsea Island it has to be Red Squirrels.

I watched a badger in the back garden last night but by the time I grabbed my camera it was gone. Better luck next time perhaps.
