Might be worth rolling back to a Restore Point to last time it was working correctly.

This is the process on Windows 7. I think it differs slightly on other versions but is generally the same (prior to Windows 8 which I simply can't figure out).

    1. Open your Start menu
    2. See where it says 'Computer'? Right click that, then choose Properties
    3. A window will open.
    4. On the left hand panel, choose System Protection
    5. The System Properties dialog will open on the 'System Protection' tab
    6. Click the System Restore button
    7. The system will then guide you through the process. It should present you with a list of restore points with dates next to them. Choose the most recent known good one and follow the instructions on screen. It only takes a few minutes and its got me out of a few pickles in the past.
