    Hi All

Sorry, but no photo, I'm living away from home at the moment and on my walk into work every morning of last week I have passed a plant that appears to have a very large 'dandelion clock' as it's seed head. The seed head is about twice the size of a normal dandelion's, it has fewer seeds and these seem to be more robust (i.e. larger seeds with bigger 'parachutes'). The plant is growing as a weed in a badly tendered shrubbery.

I can't quite get close enough to the plant to see the leaves and didn't see the flowers.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what it might be.

    Thanks

    H

As shiney says, also it could be an Allium head. I've heard them referred to as as large dandelions before.

As you thought, I think Shiney is correct. Thanks for your help! Funny how you sometimes miss the common plants!
