A magazine forced upon me one of those bags of free seeds and actually the Larkspur sounds like my kind of plant.

I need some help with the seed sowing plan, I can't sow them now in "a prepared seed bed in where they are to flower" as such a thing doesn't exist  Quite possibly I'll revamp a border next spring and they'll go there.

Am I ok to sow the seed in washing up bowl (with drainage holes) now, leave outdoors over the winter and pot on in the spring? Or do these form a tap or fragile root system that wouldn't do in a bowl?

Should I save some seeds to start indoors in the spring to have plants in different stages of maturity?

If the bed revamp plan changes course, would these do in large containers?

Oddly, I have never grown such a common plant as Larkspur before.

Thanks for experiences and advise :blue thumb:
