Interesting thread, for my area it says 2nd week of may which is only about week out.

Frosts came early this winter, 2 nights in august.

The RED bits on this chart are interesting , for the warmest points in the UK , i.e an early last frost date. Cornwall and Pembrokshire obviously get the gulf stream hitting them. But only Holy Island off the tip of Anglesey is red and yet the Llyn peninsula ( Abersoch ) is not

My old Dad used to say, nominally, May 31st for Pembrokeshire, where we lived.
Two weeks earlier for dahn Sarf, two weeks later for oop North.

But he stressed these were just a rule of thumb and a frost could happen anywhere, anytime but it almost never did.

This was back in the 70s/80s, I bet Pembs often doesn't get a frost after April 1st these days and there've been a few winters when they hardly had any.

Just had a look at the map, we were in the red zone near St Davids. I'm amazed how much things have changed. As a farmer and grower, my father was obsessed with weather and was constantly measuring and recording it over a period of 40 years so I can't see that his judgements would have been far wrong for his time.
