Just a few pics as it was dusk and not many came out.

Tourists have mostly gone home now so we got the beach back :)

Got down there about 7pm, very quiet at first, but then we noticed Whitebait jumping, spun across where they were and hooked straight into a Mackerel, which came off in the surf

Quiet again for the next half an hour, but as the sun went down it was non stop fishing :)

Must have had about 25/30 fish between the 3 of us.

Willow had the best fish of the night, the one at the bottom, said her reel just locked and she had to play him in with the waves.

All the little ones were safely returned, including a small Scad, again, caught by Willow :)

I've just spent 30 mins around dusk fishing the same spot, but although I caught several mackerel they were all joeys. I was only using my 7" telescopic rod which can't get a wedge out as far as my 11 foot spinning rod that I'll use next time, but even a small fish puts up an impressive fight on it, so better than a beachcaster and feathers.
