Today I invested in a "Weather Station" a digital thermometer/hygrometer with multi-channels for remote wireless sensors. I set it up in my workshop/potting shed with three remote sensors. One sensor is on a north-facing wall, the other two, one in each cold frame. So in all, it displays the temperature and humidity in all four places. All I have to do now is learn to make the best use of it.

I keep the base indoors, comes in handy knowing how low the temperature is outside, at night in winter, without having to go out.

I enjoy using two of those as well. There are three remotes with one base that are in each of the little greenhouses and then the other base just has the one remote outside on a post.

Sure beats tapping the wall barometer.. :)

I too moved the base indoors. I already have a stand-alone digital thermometer in the potting shed which has a second flexible probe that is currently in one of my sweetpea tubes showing the temperature of the compost.

Oh, that is a nice feature. I have to use an old fashioned probe with a "red" line tube in it. Of course the ground is frozen now so I''ll have to wait until spring to use it again :)
