lavenders looking unhealthy

    My lavenders have been in the garden 3 years.... and are looking less and less healthy. Saying that, they flowered well this year although they went over very quickly. On closer inspection (see second pic) they don't have many leaves and are very black at the base. We have had a massive amount of rain this year (every blinking day for the last two months!).     No, no @SandyNI don't give up on your Lavender !!
    Prune the plant right back to about three inches -- and it will come good

    Bees and all flying insects love lavender

    Thanks for the advice @Cordy . They do attract a multitude of bees and butterflies.... but this is the worst they've ever looked.

      Prune them to remove all flower stems and treat them to a sprinkling of Growmore,
