Does anyone have much experience with what a good lawn aerator is. The shoes seem to get bad reviews and the manual ones don't seem 'heavy' enough to put 4 inch holes in the ground ?

    Thanks
    Andy

A good old fashioned garden fork has always worked for me in the past, simple and effective. I suppose it depends on how big your lawn is and how much energy/time you have.

You can hire heavy duty ones. Check yellow pages.
