    Hi All,

My front law has a lot of moss in it. I plan on scarifying the lawn and treating with Iron sulphate. Can the clippings from the subsiquent mowings be used on the compost heap?

I think you can in theory, but for some reason I think I'd throw the first cut in the bin.

I have asked at three garden centres if they sell well rotted manure and none have any.. although they have bags of every other compost/ soil improver that you can think of.
    Is there a shortage?!

Have you tried B&M if there's one close to you @Oakapple?

Wickes generally have the Growsure Manure and you can check which branch has stock

Also bought it from B&M last year, but not been in there this year.

B&Q had their Verve Horse manure but having seen it, again last year, would avoid as its not properly composted, almost raw droppings and very thick chipped bark or wood.

Check on any of your local Top Soil suppliers / farm outlets, we have one, who makes their own composts and manures at very good prices, in bulk or 40 ltr bags.
