I have a problem patch of lawn which gets infested with a fungii (mushrooms) carpet. see picture. It only shows itself in cold damp weather and lasts for about a week before it dies back and then weather permitiing it starts the cycle again.
During the hot dry summer months it does not show.
We had a dead tree on the opposite side of the fence which has now been felled and I have read that the fungii is associated to the dead root system?
Its quite unsightly and I wondered if anyone has any good solutions to reduce or even prevent its appearence?[IMG]

Hi Banjobill..even if the next door tree was felled unless all the roots were removed you'll get the fungi as that is what they feed on (Decaying wood). You could dig down and remove as much of the roots as possible but I'd go for the easy option and just brush them away as they appear .

    Oh..Welcome to GC Banjobill:thumbsup:
