lawnmowers

    We have a medium to large garden and are purchasing a new lawnmower - please would anyone give us advice as what to go for - many thanks

    I would choose a self-propelled petrol rotary mower as a good all-rounder. If you are extremelly fussy than go for a traditional petrol cylinder mower, but these cost far more to buy and maintain.

    I think buying a lawnmower is very much dependant on what kind of finish you want on your lawn. If you're not fussy then yes a rotary mower is all you need. You can actually buy rotary mowers with a roller to give you that bowling green 'striped' look. These are not all that expensive either (depending on manufacturer of course)
