I use huge amounts of leaf mold/compost and very very seldom have to buy potting compost. I am in the process of clearing an area below an enormous Lime which hasn't been touched in many many years. Consequently there is about 6 inches of leaf mold under the tree which I intend to use. My only query is that this mold has been purely created from the Lime whereas my normal leaf mold is a variety of leaves from many different species. I don't think there should be any problem but before I start raking up the mold which is quite a task I would like some assurance that it will be ok to use.Anybody got any knowledge?

None of it has any great nutrient value, mainly tannins and lignins, so it won't make a lot of difference. Lovely soil conditioner though & it holds moisture well :)
