Dave the multi blub LED is the one's I am used to . I have a Cree torch with a single led and its very good . Aln may be worth buying just a single one first if you are going to try them, and as usual GC will expect a full 10 page report !

When we get the bathroom done next month were having 4 spot lights fitted with 4watt (35watt equivalent) and going to replace the ones in the kitchen too with 4 x 6watt (50watt equivalent)
Replacing all the bulbs to LED'S should equate to running just 1 x 50 watt halogen bulb

I'm deffo going to give these a go. I have 4 gu10 50w in the bathroom so I'll replace these first as a- it's cheaper and b-the mrs will see how good or bad they are as she does her make up and beauty regime (in what seems like an age!........) in there and she needs/wants/likes/demands good light.

I've recently changed our kitchen ones over to LED, and intend on doing the bathroom ones once i have saved a few more pennies up.

Initially, I had these ones from Homebase, but they were awful; the light from them wasn't too bad - a wee bit dimmer than the halogens they replaced, but workable, however the failure rate was just too much to bear (I got fed up taking them back and getting replacements ever week).

So, I then decided to try these ones from Amazon and they are fantastic; MUCH brighter than the halogens and the other LED bulbs, giving off a nice white light that makes it much easier to see what we are doing in the kitchen. Better still, these same bulbs are available in a few different colour temperatures, so it is easy to get one that suits your taste/room.

The are FAR superior to any of the CFL bulbs that were foisted upon us, and in most cases they are even more energy efficient; that, coupled with the fact that they have improved dramatically over the last two to three years means that they really are a win, win.
