True, but not when you live in a semi and have neighbours close by!

Apparently the trees are a horticultural protest. Mr Alvand didn't like being told by the courts to reduce the size of his charming twelve foot high breeze block 'Berlin Wall', which was built right up to his neighbour's house. The dispute went on for over a decade and involved four court hearings and three appeals. It nearly made it to the European Court of Human Rights. I wonder whether Mr Alvand has paid for all this - in which case, perhaps he'd have been better off spending the money moving to somewhere a little more isolated - or whether this was a legal aid jobbie?

I still think he sounds like he has several screws loose. As you say, spend the money moving somewhere a little more remote and neighbour-free. But to go on fighting this sort of thing that long...??

More than a couple of screws loose I'd say, Aaron. A whole ironmongery section seems to be missing. Still, no doubt the Berlin Wall was a nice little earner for the lawyers. :)
