    [IMG] Hi Whiley,
Yes they are a beautiful lily, but then I think all lilies are beautiful... Citronellas grow tall to about 1,5mtre, so back of the border is good.. I plant about 7" deep. They like full sun to dappled shade. Don't let them dry out in their first summer, or won't have any next year... If you have a clay soil put some sand in the hole first & sit them on that then fill hole again. They are a long lived border plant & will get better with each year... [IMG] Sadley not perfumed, but their beautiful little flowers make up for that. They flower anytime from late June through to end of August... :D The only thing to be wary of that I know are:-... Slugs & snails, they love them, & of course the dreaded lily beatle.. A very handsome red beatle... Kill imediatly as they wll dessimate a lily plant in hrs... I spray with a systemic called provado for that, but it is up to you what you use...... [IMG]
Well that is all I can think of at the moment hope this helps.... [IMG]

Hmmm - I always assumed citronella oil came from lemons or something, does it actually come from some part of these lilies?
