A portion of my lleylandi hedge has gone brown and although it still acts as a screen from the gardens behind us, it does look a bit unsightly. Is there anything I can grow up this to disguise it a bit. I can't take it down because the garden would be too open. It is still green facing the neighbours garden at the moment and it is still growing from the top

    Hi maggie,
Had exact problem so planted Clematis montana,2 varieties.Evergreen Honysuckle, climbing Roses and even a Virginia creeper. As they filled out I was able to remove growth completely, now no more clipping the damn things but still an effective screen, even in Winter. 6 years and no sign of the trunks rotting off [IMG]

Maggie...maybe lop the top off your Leylandii and it will then sprout from bottom...( your neighbour may welcome this ) lol if it's sunny side, maybe sweetpeas and evelasting sweetpeas, for Summer for extra screening, they always come back...more ever year....
