Good luck with the show. :fingers crossed:

Mrs Shiney's show was on Tuesday. She entered 22 categories and got five first, nine seconds and five thirds.

        What a beautiful Fuchsia (Shelford), I'd give it a 1st prize...good luck.

Our village's show is on Monday, only entering 3 classes, was intending to go for a few more but it's been another poor year and some veg has simply not ripened yet.

Another show tomorrow. My Chrysanths are running a bit late but I managed to cut these two.

              Cornetto

Billy Bell, ( it really needed another three or four days to fully open)

              IMG_0397.JPG

I usually do okay with this Pelargonium, its a variety called Alice Greenfield.

              IMG_0393.JPG

Another one which has done well for me over the years is this Fuchsia, Shelford

              Waveny Sunrise

              IMG_0394.JPG

Next year I am cutting back on the amount of things I grow. So this is the last time I will be showing Begonias. The plates are to protect the blooms from the leaves.

              Sceptre

Dammit!, got beaten into 2nd place in one class.

The problem here is that's it's a ever aging group submitting ever decreasing entries, I wont go into detail but I despair about the future of our village show unless things change soon.

At the show yesterday I was awarded the best flower in the show with this Begonia Rex. I aren't complaining, but it seemed an ironic award for a plant that is completely devoid of flowers.
