    Hi,

We were given a little present yesterday a Loganberry LY654 Thornless; its a thick single stem, cut back and the typical garden centre red fruit pot ( 2 ltr ?)

At the moment we do not have any bed in good sun suitable for it, so were thinking of a large pot and keeping up against a south facing wall for a year or two.

Any suggestions of how big and deep the pot needs to be , would 45 cm be enough ?

      Hi Ricky
      What a lovely gift!
I have one still in a potato grow bag  been in there a good couple of years! Think they are about 40ltr size? :dunno:
You may not get fruit this year if it has been cut right back, but, any stems growing *this* year will be the bringers of fruit next summer

It's also a good way to keep the runners in check, loganberries like to GROW! I expect it will be fine in the pot until you find / create a location for it.

It's a vigorous grower so it will be alright in as large a pot as possible. But be careful if you keep it in there the root might come out of the bottom and root in what ever it's standing on. I had that with a blackberry.
