My son's new addition to the family. He and his wife already have two other dogs, a Shi Tzu and an Australian Shepherd Dog. Loki below is currently eight weeks old and believe it or not a rescue dog, or should I say puppy. He's now in his second but loving home. :)

Can you guess what breed he is?

No, no Joolz! If Loki was to bark Riley would probably disappear, he's a big softy. :)

Loki (pronounced “LOAK-ee;” Old NorseLoki, whose meaning/etymology is unknown[1]) is the wily trickster god of Norse mythology.

Initially I was going to go with a Blue Staffie ... then I remembered your son isn't in the UK plus the fact the dog changes colour to tan in then next photo's :heehee:

Could it be a Parson Russell Terrier?

You were nearer with the Staffie "M". :) He is actually blue/grey, apparently the sun was very low and orange when the later pictures were taken.

Honeybunny guessed right, :) he's a Pitbull Terrier and I hasten to add he will be reared and trained properly.

Hi ladies...to me although as cute as most puppies, he doesn't have a muzzle of a Parson Terrier in the sense that this one is large and floppy. I would have a look at the jaw structure and temperament. Of course he could be a mix...

:embarrassed:what can i say its a gift! One i have honed and fine tuned though many many years sprawled on the sofa looking at cute puppy pictures :wub2:

Pitbulls are wonderful dogs and make equally wonderful family pets, you'd be hard stuck to find a more loving, loyal and affectionate breed. They do not deserve the bad rep they get :doggieshmooze:
