    Hi everyone

I have Lonicera growing on a south-facing wall. I think it may be 2-3 years old. It's gone rampant with tons of branches and leaves, but no evidence of flowering. It's taking over the area and I'm worried that it's choking other plants (roses) in the border. I don't want to cut it back in case it might flower, but equally, I don't want it to choke the other plants especially if it's not going to flower.
    Would appreciate any advice.
    Thanks

In the wild they only flower if they've got to the top of the canopy in full sunlight, woodland floors are often covered with non flowering parts of the plant.

The flowers are both male and female so its not that you might have a male that wouldn't flower.

Thanks Zigs. So is it the case that if it is going to flower, I would see evidence of that by now?

Might not be old enough to flower yet, not sure how long they take. Someone will be along that knows i'm sure:)
