The picture below of the Northern Lights was taken just three miles from where I live, I could kick myself for missing it. :wallbanging:

Fantastic. It must have been visible round my way too I'd have thought, given that I'm just a few miles further north than you. Trouble is we have far too much light pollution from all the works.

Fab picture, I understand it could be seen in Norfolk too, but I doubt as clear as that picture!

I saw both Monday and Tuesday nights Northern lights (cant spell aurela borealies)

Another unusual sighting and a bit worrying Yesterday afternoon I saw a Sea Eagle
hunting then dropping down to its prey
Worrying thing was it was at the local park ! which is in the middle of town

(They have realeased fifty in Fife since February and insist they will all go and live in solitude in the Highlands)
One local business has nearly gone bust
A local farm produce, fresh eggs and childrens play area with bunnies and ducks
One of the Sea Eagles took up residence on top of the Hen houses
Instant breakfast lunch and dinner as required, with the odd bunny and duck for a varied diet
The rest of the hens have stopped laying
The owner/farmer can not shoot it as it is a protected species

They have large red wing tags (this one carried the letter F)
So he called the release scheme people and they have now captured it
Given it a really good telling off, to go live in the Highlands and are releasing it on Monday :-)
