    I'm looking for a Rose to grow up a wall, but the wall is on the NNW side of the house and has very Alkline soil.

    Is there a rose that can grow in these conditions??

    my brother grows one on a North wall I dont know about soil though I think its called "garland" I will get back to you to confirm all I do know it looks stunning in full flower and a very old variety

      Good evening @Jiffy my friend well three Climbers that I have seen this year that are on a North facing wall and a wide range of soils are"Dublin Bay" and High Flyer,and Dancing Queen, I could give you a list of Roses that are supposedly said to grow on a North facing Wall,but these I have actually seen growing:smile:

                Just an update :doh:we did get 2 Dublin bays and one has just opened

                Yes it's been 2 years :doh:but with one thing another and trying to find a nice one from a GC was hard so we got one over the phone as we don't buy online
