Lost my IE desktop icon.

    :) Can someone point me in the right direction to get my Internet Explorer icon back onto my desktop......Please.
    I am on XP.

    Hi Roders. Right click on your desktop. Click on customise Desktop. Click General Tab, then tick the Internet Explorer square option. This should bring it back.

    :) Thanks Strawman,nearly there,but there is no ie square option:cnfs:

    Now you've got me there, Roders. The IE square is a part of the XP settings for the general tab. By rights it should be there. I know that it's possible to lose icons from the desktop, but your problem seems to indicate something else altogether. I can only suggest that you take a look at the following web address.

    Start>programmes>internet explorer>(right click)create short cut>cut short cut>paste shortcut on desktop.

    Or better still get Fire Fox Click here
