    MACRO PHOTO COMPETITION
    .


    This can be a shot of a flower,Fungi, insects, Spiders, Invertebrates, Arthropods, Molluscs, Lichens, etc., but strictly macro shots,

    The competition will run throughout the year
    THEIR WILL BE 3 SECTIONS EACH OF 4 MONTHS

    SECTION 1. FROM JANUARY UNTIL APRIL 30th

    SECTION 2.FROM MAY UNTIL AUGUST 31st

    Honesty of the entrants first & foremost please have your date & time set correctly as EXIF data is visible to all and it stops confusion.;)

    .All entries should limit the use of digital manipulations to only file conversion, level, curve and sharpening. Adding elements to the original image that were not there are NOT allowed. NO software filter programmes are allowed,ie (Paintshop Pro ect) frames optional. Colour or Black and White (Black and White conversions allowed).

    You can enter up to 3(THREE) pictures.

    Give your picture a title

    Photos have to be taken within the current competition year 2015


    Any image deemed to be altered will be deleted.. Admin's decision is final.
    7.Post your photos within this thread for entry into the competition. Display your photo up to full size 600x800.. No thumbnails or links please..!
    8. The winner will be decided by votes by the users of the forum.


    Users Vote Guidelines below:-
    1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.
    2. Competitors vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - The photograph with the most vote points wins etc 3. Competitors votes should not be cast until after the competition closes.

    All members of the forum have a chance to enter and to cast a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures.

                          1. AB... "Funky Cat"....I love this photo. I'm amazed at how furry it is and love the colours. I keep wanting to go back and look at it.

                          2. Scrungee..."Pair of Common Blues". Fantastic! Really good shot.

                          3. Dips..."Spider Skin". Who'd have thought that scary spiders could be so intricately patterned! Smashing photo.

                            1- dandelion clock - scrungee - i just really like the fluffiness

                            2 - im looking at you - tingtang44 - love that you caught the irridescent colours of the wings

                            1st.......Marley Farley.......Fairies ready to fly.. ......The macro detail on this shot is amazing.

                            2nd......Scrungee......Pair of Common Blues......Well focused and good detail. A chance subject that is rare.

                            3rd.......Wiseowl......Reaching for the light.....I like the prominent inner parts of this lovely flower, something we rarely take a close look at in our gardens.
