Madeira Lizards

    For'lizard lovers' such as myself Madeira is literally crawling with them, thousands of them.
    There is only one species, the small Lacerta Dugesii only 9 ins long and most have a turquoise colour in the tail. They eat anything and are very tame.

    This one lost it's original tail and grew two in it's place!!

    Me neither. The ones I've seen have been rather skittish so it was hard enough just getting a pic, never mind sharing lunch with one! Lucky you, Strongy. :gnthb:

    Oh, I've just now noticed the one has two tails and read your text.

    I used to have a european green lizard and fed it mealworms by hand most of the time when it lept for the worm it ended up hanging from your finger, don't know if it was short sighted or just didn't like me.:skp:
