    me on tiger.jpg But can anyone think where this was taken? Must be about70 years ago and at the seaside somewhere.

      At Sandown, Isle of Wight, there is a tiger sanctuary and they used to walk tigers on the beach. Nice photo.

          No! Certainly not the I.O.w as we did not go there until I was at Uni.

              Did you travel in Italy? The parasol shaped tree in the background looks very Med, and the obelisk would also hint towards a country that has always had spares to go.

              Mussolini made exotic beasts fashionable which might explain the tiger. Or perhaps it's a reference to gladiator fights... 12 points guess- Forum Romanum :ideaIPB:
