Me on a tiger

But can anyone think where this was taken? Must be about70 years ago and at the seaside somewhere.

At Sandown, Isle of Wight, there is a tiger sanctuary and they used to walk tigers on the beach. Nice photo.

Did you travel in Italy? The parasol shaped tree in the background looks very Med, and the obelisk would also hint towards a country that has always had spares to go.

Where were you born? Where do you remember going on holidays?

 

Various choices. Paington, Torquay, Herne Bay, North Wales Coastal town, Southport, New Brighton. Cannot think of anywhere else we went when I was that young.

 

What, where you were born? I was born in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, South Wales.

 

That is possible, we did go there a fair number of times, by boat from Liverpool.
