Merry Christmas Everybody!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to both of you @Loofah and @ARMANDII .

Don't know about festive so much as I'll be at my moms cooking, cleaning and everything else. ( My sister and my moms 11 grand/great grandchildren won't be anywhere to seen even though my sister lives 12 doors from her ). Oh what I'd give for a bit of festive spirit and a helping hand.

It's only just after 5 p.m. here but the sun has already set. It won't be long now before we think we see a shooting star, only to later realize it is Santa. What a wonderful old fellow. He sees no religion or race and is colour blind to boot!

I hope everyone finds the good will and cheer that he sprinkles on your homes in between delivering the toys for the girls and boys.

Let the fat man rule tonight!

Merry Christmas everybody

Just finished a marathon cooking and eating session for 7 people here. I kicked off at 7am with home made croissants, opened the presents and then seem to have been cooking and washing up since 10. Theyre all gone now, along with doggy bags of ham, beef, turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing, salmon, home made bread and other stuff Ive probably forgotten.

Now time to spend a bit of time with the dogs and a well earned blueberry gin and tonic

We celebrated the Christmas Eve yesterday and today have had a lovely breakfast of salmon on Riz crackers for some (The Teenager), and Brie on Riz crackers for some (me). Not quite ripe Brie on Riz was my special treat as a child in the 70s, when Brie was only had on very special occasions.

Finished one book already, and am half way through Christie's Man in a Brown Coat. 3 board games played, one episode of Poirot watched. Tomorrow's plan is to cook a challenging veggie main to go with the remainings of the ham, and to watch Hitchcock's Birds to liven up the bird feeding schedule.

Our Christmas is very lovely after the big decision earlier this year to move (ex-)Mr Selleri to outdoors pastures, very nice not to have any arguments or tensions or escapings into rooms but just being together.

I wish everybody in this forum a most lovely Christmas, however you spend it, whomever you spend it with. And a special Christmas and Birthday cheers to @Mike Allen whom I understand is celebrating a very big birthday around now

 

Sounds just perfect @Selleri .Glad the teenager and you had a great time together. Precious times lead to treasured memories.

I might be wrong but I think Mike's big day is on Saturday.
