    Hey

I brought some Daffodil and Tulip bulbs from pound stretcher, thinking 'oh wow those varieties look cheap compared to the garden centre'! They were like 1.50 for 12 in pound stretcher! They had pictures on the packaging of black parrot tulips, tulips apricot fox and tulip flaming flag. The Daffodils had packaging of Avalon, Ascot, white lion and Tahiti. They've all appeared as bog standard yellow daffodils with an orange centre. The tulips i've mentioned are mostly an off pink colour!!! So annoyed.

    Anyone else had this experience?

Will pay extra next time and purchase from a reliable seller!

I bought a white currant bush that produces the most delicious red currants.

Yep. It was clearly labelled as a white currant bush, yet the berries went straight from unripe green to ripe fire engine red without passing white.

Somebody's Poundland sweet pea seeds turned out to be wild Vetch and an Apple tree was a Plum (or other way round).

Tulip bulbs have a distinctive shape and colour.

They must source their stock from Thompson & Morgan.

Use the forum search box and see what comes up! T&M is often used instead of the full name.

My granddad bought some onions from pound stretcher and ended up in hospital, they turned out to be daffodil bulbs, it was quite serious, he did get out until spring.
