    I've kinda looked at growing these but decided that it's a step too far for my orchid skills!

      I have never known orchids in great detail,they are brilliant...quite scary actually :hate-shocked: do you think they can mimic ??? x

      Ophrys, a British native orchid, "mimics" bees to aid the pollination.

      Here's a photo of a Paphiopedilum flower that I cut in half if you want some detail.................

        I used to have (cripes, quite a few of my posts sound like this :sad: ) quite a substantial Dracula collection. Must have had 30 to 40 plants, as well as a good number of the closely related Masdevallias.
        As far as orchids go, they don't handle fluctuations (in temp and humidity) very well. And when I moved house, I lost all of them :ouch1:
