Monkey Puzzle Tree

    Hoe hard is it to establish cuttings from a monkey puzzle tree? Is it a case of sticking in the side of a pot with gritty compost, or does it need a bit more TLC? I can stick it in a greenhouse to help it establish if needs be.

    I always thought they were grown from seed not cuttings but I maybe wrong

    Actually now I think about it I seem to remember Araucaria araucana
    (Monkey Puzzle) can be propagated by tip cuttings but with some difficulty...

    I've currently got 10 Monkey Puzzle seeds germinating/growing; a couple of them have now shed the seed case and are about 1/2" tall, perfection in minature...:thumb:
