I spent Christmas and New-Year in Northern Cyprus for a change following my holidays there in August to a little village called Ozankoy near Kyrenia and took my camera with me like you do. Unfortunately there's too many pic's to re-size for the forum so hopefully the link below to a folder in my Dropbox will be better and save download time on the forum as well. Some i know but most i don't. I think one purple one might be bindweed / grannies bonnet and another purple one might be a Clematis. Any problems accessing do let me know. Other than that, n-joy.

Just checked the link and it works ok. By the way, Dropbox is free so if anyone signs up i get extra storage space and if you then invite others and they sign up, you do as well.

I named the ones i know Pete but i haven't a clue on the nubered ones unfortunately. I visited a few garden centres while i was out there but didn't think of asking someone what they were.

Also i just found out that if anyone registers from the link in the first post, Dropbox doesn't recognise that the link came from me which seems a bit odd so i have a personal invitation link below which people can click on. Anyone that registers will also need to do the same to get their free space, (500mb a time). All free at the end of the day. Not much is these days.

More in flower than when we went there a few years ago but I didn't visit any GCs.
        The Solandra is stunning.

It is a much more comfortable time rather than when we went in August as it was 40/43c most days!. (I just found that my pics are still on here from '06!!)

Great pictures Scorpio. :dbgrtmb: Sixth row down, second from left. I think this is Claytonia 'Virginica' and grows wild in America. I keep trying to get my son to send me seeds. :)

Having taken a second look at your picture, I'm not so sure now, it could be of the Claytonia species though.

        I need to move!

        12 is good old Plumbago.
As Strongy says, 14, 14a and 14b is Solandra maxima. Don't suppose that you got any seeds from it did you?
20 is Allamanda, probably an A.cathartica hybrid as this vine is native to tropical S.America.

Thanks Jenny and happy new to you too and everyone else. Weather was hot during the day in the sun but much cooler in the shade for prolonged periods and then more so once the sun goes down. We had a huge open fire in the cottage to keep warm though, which was nice. Even walking around the village at night to and from restaurants felt warm because of the smell from all the wood fires in every dwelling.

IIRC the only GC pic was the Bird of Paradise but i may be wrong. Not that i was trying to cheat lol, just nice to see the flowers. No idea which one was the Solandra though.

If people quote the names for the numbers i'll update them.

Thanks Keith, i was going to name them and realised i might have altered some of the numbers this morning. Seeds - booger, why didn't i think of that, naughty as it may be though. I did find a seed pod from a Cypress in my suitcase when i got back and i really have no idea how it got in there lol. I grew some a few years back so i want to give them a go again purely for the sake of it.

          28, 29 & 31 are Anenome coronaria.
          18 is Hibiscus (rosa sinensis?)
I think that 11 could be Tecoma stans?

          Lovely pictures Scorpio.

I can't add much. 13 is presumably Poinsettia.
18 is certainly a Hibiscus of sorts - possibly even Malaviscus - the one that never opens properly - though really it could be any.
19 and 20 look like Lantana

Solandra maxima looks good - can you grow it in this country - anyone grown it?
