Hi guys! I've scarified my lawn twice now....once about 3 weeks ago and today after applying a feed, weed & moss killer 2weeks ago. My hands are red raw and I swear I could do it again and still fill my trug up! Should I just call it s day and mow the lawn tomorrow and leave the next attempt until the Autumn? Any advice would be great! Thanks lots!:blue thumb:

Id leave it and put down some new grass seed and give it a chance to thicken up during summer before attacking it again in autumn.
Id use iron sulphate instead of the weed feed stuff personally.Miles cheaper and seems to work a treat for me but I do have a good selection of lawn weeds but the wildlife likes them so all good

Moss is an on going battle as you've discovered Jan. If you can afford to treat yourself to a scarifying machine then that will lighten your load. Leave it for now and give it a go during the summer when the lawn has dried out more and isn't growing so quickly. Moss thrives in damp so you have more chance of clearing it at a later point. Don't put a killer down in drought though it will burn your lawn.

Just leave it Jan for now . Let it grow and mow it when it needs. Never mow it too short , all the pro lawn gardeners say this causes problems.
If you browse through the GC lawn section , there are some good posts on scarifying and feeding lawns.
PS: Hand scarifying is blooming hard work !
