morning glory and sweet pea climb well together

    the morning glory climbs the canes, the sweet pea clings to the morning glory....

      As long as it wasn't honeysuckle and bindweed!!! :hate-shocked:



      The song was actually a clever dig at peoples' prejudices, particularly class differences. Flanders and Swann were excellent at parodies and social comment.

      I had to Google them - at least now I know what a recurring Armstrong and Miller sketch was referencing.

      The morning glory is an anti-clockwise turner and the sweet pea doesn't turn at all! - not sure what that does for their marriage suitability
