    Hello,
Went into Morrisons supermarket today and they had lots of flower buckets taped together and they were selling them for 99P for 6 of them. Brilliant idea and really cheap. Just screw some holes in the bottom and youve got 6 new pots. Not the prettiest of course but that can soon be changed with some trailing lobelia etc. :D Just giving you the heads up to keep your eye open if you go in there. :dbgrtmb:

I got some of these last year after a tip off from here (I think it was Scrungee or shiney that told me, but my memory is terrible); great value, and a good size - I will invariably be going to get more this year.

Hi Kayleigh, I've used Morrison's buckets for a few years now, usually you get 10-12 buckets for 99p, maybe they're getting a bit tight this year :heehee:

As you say pop some holes in the bottom and you've got 5-7lt pots, I use them for growing on shrubs and trees mostly that i've grown from seed or cuttings.

Yes they are very useful, last year I got a couple of bundles for free in Morrisons, they weren't priced up and the lady on the till just let me had them for free.

We very rarely shop at Morrisons, just because our local one is a mad house (it is always packed and chaotic), but when we do go, I always look out for the 99p bucket packs. I've used them as temporary accommodation for bare root trees while I find somewhere more permanent for them. I think I have some blueberry bushes in some out the back, and I always have 2 or 3 used in rotation as the kitchen compost bin.

Asda?! Why didn't I think of them ... We have one right in the middle of town and I walk by it most days but never thought to look in there, good to know their stores do it as well as they always get sold quick in Morrisons. :goodpost:

Isn't it too early for beans Zig? Wont they need more room than you can provide indoors before it gets warm enough for them to go out?

I've never seen them in Tescos here either. The only bargain you get in Tescos is if you go late evening, sometimes you get perfectly good bread for about 20p.
