There's lots of issues about climbing Everest as a rank amateur, and yes, it is a tourist attraction. There's ethical issues about paying someone else to guide you up it (risking their life in the process) when you have neither the experience, skills nor fitness to undertake it alone. Respect for the mountain and its demands may come low on the list when there is money changing hands.
Serious climbers in big mountains understand there are limits to what can be expected in the way of support/ rescue and do it anyway, for love of the activity. They don't expect their bodies to be recovered in the event of an accident and they usually aren't.

In the British hills the majority of callouts are to deal with incidents such as broken limbs on mountain footpaths or heart attacks or other non-climbing incidents. They are not dramatic or dangerous rescues. You could hardly ban all of that to save resources.

I would think that the thing that makes the rescue services cross is when people have gone out badly-equipped, under-prepared and ignorant, not skilled people pitting their fitness and judgement against the elements, and losing.

OK All six of them were Doctors well two were still at uni

I got the info off the Scottish news however (here we go) My friends cousin Hamish Mac Innes in Aviemore and had been on the mountain rescue team for over 20 years

Now I must admit the mountain rescue teams are a bit like the RNLI they get THEIR kicks going out in extreme conditions
