MUNICH - GERMANY

In June/July 2013, me & my girlfriend went to Munich, Germany! We stayed at a hotel/hostel (we stayed in the hotel part) called The4You Hostel which wasn't as bad as it probably sounds!

​

The hotel was situated just 2 minutes walk from the main train station in Munich, with trains from Italy even arriving/departing from there! Hauptbahnhof station!

​

We visited the usual touristy sites - the churches, Nymphenburg Castle (below), The Olympic Stadium & Dachau which was an hour of travelling on a train and bus from Munich.

A really nice city! I'd definitely go back again & I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Germany. We did so much in those 6 days, too!

​

I'm not sure if we'd do anything differently if we had the choice to go back, we pretty much did everything we had planned to do before we went. One of my best holidays!

I've spent a lot of time in Munich with work and of all the European cities I have been to its my favourite. Not been for a while though, I was supposed to go 2 weeks ago, but it was cancelled. I was gutted as the October fest is on.

Happy days. I spent a morning in Munich last year in transit by rail from London to Slovenia ( I LOVE travelling by rail!) and had a great time ambling round the city centre. The open air market area was lovely. I'd like to go back and visit a few beer halls.
